Pink Shirt Day
On February 22nd, our St. John’s office staff wore pink shirts to show our support for Pink Shirt and Anti-Bullying Day. Inclusion matters in all of it’s forms and we will continue to speak up and stand up for the inclusion of everyone.
Pink Shirt Day originated in Nova Scotia when a student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Two classmates witnessed the bullying take place and decided to act. The next day, they brought in and distributed multiple pink shirts to their peers to wear in support of the student who had been bullied. Now, Pink Shirt Day is internationally recognized as a part of the anti-bullying movement. For more, click here.
